The Participant Subsidy Fund is designed to ensure access for all.
Financial need is a significant barrier to accessing addictions treatment in Winnipeg and while Tamarack offers fees lower than virtually all other independent non-profit treatment facilities, the majority of our participants do not have the means to self-fund their treatment. Driven by our commitment to equity and access for all people seeking addictions treatment, we launched our Participant Subsidy Fund in 2020 aiming to raise $200,000 annually to ensure our life-changing wraparound treatment and recovery support is available to everyone who needs it.
To support the Participant Subsidy Fund, you can make a donation though our Canada Helps page.
You can donate any amount from $3 or set up a regular monthly donation. Payments can be made by credit card, Paypal, Google Pay, and Canada Helps gift cards. Donations via Canada Helps can be made anonymously.

The Tamarack Recovery Agency Fund builds financial sustainability and is designed to ensure that Tamarack can provide accessible and impactful services for many years to come.
Tamarack’s Agency Fund provides a way for Tamarack to proactively look towards the future by investing proactively in the future, while still making wise financial decisions in the present. The fund, held at The Winnipeg Foundation, is a restricted fund that invests principle donations in order to provide income in perpetuity. All donations to this fund directly serve as the ‘principle amount’ which anchor the fund. This amount is kept intact, while the interest generated is freed up to be used year on year in perpetuity, meaning that donations made today will have lasting and ongoing impact for years to come, helping to ensure that individuals can access life-changing help and addiction recovery.
